Winter Styled Shoot at Resort at Squaw Creek
/Our first ever styled shoot! We were thrilled when Susie Tell from Tahoe Inspired invited us to be part of this amazing wedding styled shoot in Lake Tahoe. We had only just launched our mobile bar business when Susie reached out to us about a styled shoot in Squaw Valley. We automatically said yes and started to prep the bar for one of the most incredible photoshoots of all time. It had just recently snowed in Tahoe and a white blanket of snow covered the mountains as we towed the trailer up to the Resort at Squaw Creek. At one point the snow was piled so high on each side of the road that it was almost like we were going through a tunnel. When we finally arrived we were directed to set the trailer up next to the iconic Squaw Valley fireplace which had the towering snow capped mountains of Tahoe behind us. Definitely one of most epic locations ever!
The amazing team of wedding professionals assembled and got to work creating a perfect winter wonderland. Meghan from Love and Lupines brought the gorgeous flower arrangements, lanterns and garlands you see on the fireplace, tables, and on the bar of course. Doug and Janelle from Tahoe Rustic Rentals brought most of the rentals, winter decorations, signs, and wine barrels. Fun fact: Doug proposed to Janelle in this exact spot in front of this gorgeous fireplace! The team at Creative Coverings provided the linens and Stylish Scribe created the cutest Lake Tahoe invitations. The Resort at Squaw Creek was a fabulous host and provided a beautifully designed wedding cake and all of the food. Our photographer was Justin Lee, and we are obsessed with how the images came out. Thank you Susie for putting us all together and being the over-seer of everything (even while on crutches). You're the best!
We just love how our mobile bar looks next to this humongous fireplace. The garland and tall white candles on the mantle are stunning. It's what Lake Tahoe wedding dreams are made of. We also brought some fun cocktails for us all to shoot with and of course sip on. We brought 3 different cocktails and of course some champagne.
All of the small details are what truly made this shoot magical. All of the rustic colors to go with the setting, the greenery used for florals, the adorable old snowshoes leaning up again the fireplace, the custom Lake Tahoe invitations, winter cocktails, and the vintage couches and ski paraphernalia which matches our vintage trailer bar. It all came together so perfectly and we couldn't have asked for a more beautifully sunny day in Lake Tahoe.
The heavy snowfall in Lake Tahoe was record breaking and made for some beautiful scenery in Squaw Valley. The Resort at Squaw Creek offers dog sledding and we could see people taking turns riding around the valley and hear the howls from the dogs as we were shooting.
